Synthesis Methods for Nanoparticle Morphology Control in Energy Applications

Lightweight nano-composite materials, nano-coatings, nanocatalysts, and nano-structured materials have demonstrated an ability to reduce emissions maximize clean energy production. Nanoparticles play important role in engineering decarbonization for applications, a wide range of nanoparticle synthesis methods been developed include those that enable control over particle morphology. The morphology allows the tailoring improvement material properties will accelerate efforts towards lowering carbon by developing advanced catalysts sequestration enhance energy-efficient processes technologies. Synthesis aimed shape nanoparticles form spheres, rods, flower-like shapes, cubes, plates, shells, chiral geometries. Processing used these morphologies microwave-assisted synthesis, solvothermal, hydrothermal, capping agents.
